Ve supports dictation in two interaction styles:
Key-based dictation
Hands-free dictation
Both work the same way internally. Only the way you activate them is different.
Hold Option and speak
When you hold the Option key and speak:
Ve listens only while the key is held
Your speech is interpreted as intent
A structured result is prepared when you release the key
This mode is best when:
You want precise control over when Ve listens
You are dictating something short or focused
You are working at a desk

Hands-free mode
Hands-free mode allows continuous dictation without holding any keys.
To use it:
Double-tap to turn it on
Speak naturally
Double-tap again to turn it off
Hands-free mode is useful when:
You are walking or moving
Your hands are busy
You want to speak uninterrupted
Ve listens only while the mode is active.

Control and safety
Dictation never executes actions
Dictation never sends messages
Dictation always produces drafts first
You remain in control at all times.
